Once it is established that a program or practice meets CrimeSolutions screening criteria, Study Reviewers use the Scoring Instruments to analyze the most rigorous evaluation research available to assess the quality, strength, and extent of the evidence that indicates the program or practice achieves its goals. The studies selected for review comprise the evidence base for the program or practice. Following are the Scoring Instruments used by CrimeSolutions Study Reviewers.
In 2025, CrimeSolutions began rating programs by outcome. The rating instrument for that process is online and not available for download. Download the Program Evidence Rating Instrument (PDF) used prior to 2025.
The Practices Scoring Instrument (PDF) has not changed.
