In 2012, SafeCare received a final program rating of Inconclusive Evidence based on a review of a study by Gershater-Molko and colleagues (2002). In 2019, a review of two new studies (Chaffin et al. 2012a; Chaffin et al. 2012b) was conducted, using the updated CrimeSolutions Program Scoring Instrument. This review resulted in a final program rating of Promising.
